Dr. Mark Chong graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK and completed advanced joint reconstruction and orthopaedic sports training at Wrightington Hospital (Manchester) and in Australia. He developed a keen interest in robotic joint replacement and sports injuries. Having previously led the Adult Joint Reconstruction department at the National University Hospital Singapore, he still serves as a visiting consultant at NUH. In 2021, Dr. Mark Chong and colleagues established the first orthopaedic hospital in Kuala Lumpur (ALTY), now a leading orthopaedic centre in Malaysia. He also maintains strong professional ties with colleagues in the UK, Europe, and the US. He aims to deliver comprehensive orthopaedic care with a sprinkle of good humour.

Dr Mark Chong has a passion for sports most notably in Rugby and Football. He is the team medic for Tanglin Rugby Club in Singapore. He is a certified World Rugby Educator and regularly covers matches as a pitchside doctor.
